bioMARK-II-B2 – Class II Type B2 Biohazard Safety Cabinet (Total Exhaust Cabinet)
The bioMARK-II-B2 is a Class II Type B2 Biohazard Safety Cabinet, also known as a Total Exhaust Cabinet, designed to provide maximum personnel, product, and environmental protection. Unlike other biosafety cabinets, the B2 model features a 100% exhaust system with no air recirculation, ensuring the highest level of containment for hazardous biological agents and chemical vapors. It creates a Class 100 ultra-clean work zone with vertical laminar airflow, making it ideal for applications requiring absolute contamination control.
Key Features & Benefits
- ✔ NSF Standard 49 Compliant Filtration System – Ensures superior air purification and compliance with global safety standards.
- ✔ Total Exhaust System (100% HEPA Filtered) – No recirculation, eliminating contamination risks.
- ✔ Maximum Containment – All contaminated plenums are surrounded by negative pressure, virtually eliminating leakage.
- ✔ Balanced, Low-Noise Blowers – Engineered for continuous operation with optimized motor capacity.
- ✔ Durable & Hygienic SS304 Construction – Seamless work zone with minimal welded joints prevents contaminant buildup and rusting.
- ✔ Adjustable Front Sash Opening (8") – Includes alarm system to prevent over-opening and maintain containment.
- ✔ UV Germicidal Lamp (15W or 30W) – Provides effective preliminary sterilization.
- ✔ Ergonomic Illumination – Electronically ballasted fluorescent lighting enhances operator comfort and visibility.
- ✔ Aesthetic & Robust Design – Powder-coated GI body in dual-color finish (fully SS304 construction available upon request).
- ✔ Exhaust HEPA Module – Positioned above the false ceiling or outdoors, allowing easy access for maintenance.
- ✔ Comprehensive Testing & Calibration – Factory and on-site testing for HEPA filter integrity, cleanliness, and airflow validation. All instruments are calibrated with NABL or International Standards traceability.
Optional Features
- ✔ Virus Burnout Unit – Additional sterilization for maximum safety.
- ✔ Second Stage Exhaust HEPA Filtration – Provides enhanced air purification to meet advanced safety requirements.
Critical Considerations for Installation
- ✔ Compensating Fresh Air Supply – Since the biosafety cabinet exhausts conditioned air, a Positive Pressure / Fresh Air Module is recommended to maintain a stable lab environment.
- ✔ Air Conditioning Requirements – For every 200 CFM of fresh air added, 1 ton of AC should be installed. A 3' Type B2 cabinet requires a minimum of 2 TR AC.
- ✔ Heat Compensation for Exhaust Air – Exhaust air at 450 CFM would require 15 kW of heating to maintain 80°C, which is energy-intensive. To avoid this, an additional HEPA filtration system with a blower is recommended, following USA & European standards.
- ✔ HEPA Filter Integrity Testing – All HEPA filters must be tested using an Aerosol Photometer post-installation to ensure environmental and operational safety.
Warranty & Additional Services
- ✔ 12-Month Warranty (excluding consumable parts and accessories)
- ✔ IQ/OQ Documentation Available Upon Request
